Medicine Walk
“Medicine” is personal power. We all have it. It’s our inner strength, wisdom and unique way of being. It determines how fulfilling our life is and what kind of relationships we have. The Medicine Walk is a way of turning up the volume on personal power — by recognizing and claiming it.
What are you challenged by in your life right now? What relationship needs healing or strengthening? What are your biggest questions? The combination of deep facilitation and solo experience in nature will help you find answers and see your way forward. You will gain a deeper awareness and appreciation of who you are.
Not only is the Medicine Walk is an extraordinary event by itself. It is also a doorway into a psychological/spiritual tool and self-guidance methodology that will serve you for the rest of your life.
Three-step process
The Medicine Walk follows a three-step process found in rites of passage across cultures and throughout history. It combines expert guidance and coaching with solitude in nature.
Intention
The evening prior to your walk, we’ll bring your questions and intentions to the surface and explore what you feel is next in your evolution. We’ll talk about details of the day ahead and options for experiential exercises and personal ritual.
Solo: Fasting in Nature
We meet at dawn to send you off into the Boulder Mountain Parks open space. During the day you sit, wander, observe, think and write — in your own rhythm. Leaving the routines of life behind, including food, you are with your own thoughts and the beauty around you. By watching and listening to nature — both outer and inner — with receptivity and appreciation, you invite new perspectives and insights.
Incorporation
We meet just after dusk to close the day and debrief your experience. This begins the incorporation of your solo experience into practical change and action in your life.
